We went into this adventure of buying a home with no experience or knowledge of what we were doing. Stephanie helped us though the entire process in a very professional way while still keeping it a personal experience. If you are looking for someone to help you navigate the overly complicated process of buying or selling your home, you couldn't find a better choice than Stephanie Lawrence. Stephanie is incredibly professional, knowledgeable and perseverant! She helped us to tour houses and condos in the Roanoke Valley area before we settled on signing a contract on a new patio home that was under construction. Stephanie went above and beyond as our advocate once the construction of the home was actually underway. She made weekly and sometimes bi-weekly trips to the construction site and sent us photos to keep us up to date on the status of the construction. As issues arose with difficulty of the builder obtaining materials due to Covid, Stephanie coordinated with the builder's rep and us to make decisions about substitutions that needed to be made. During the final weeks of construction on the home, Stephanie was on site to accept delivery of our major appliances for us, as we lived over an hour and a half away from the new home. During the last few days of construction, she was on site each day, encouraging the workmen to complete the tasks they had promised to do for that day and making sure that everything was proceeding as it should. As we neared our closing date, the settlement agent tried to push our closing date into 2021 to simplify their office workload. Stephanie advocated strongly with the settlement company and obtained the more favorable December closing date that we had been hoping for and we were finally able to move into our new home the week before Christmas. That allowed us to celebrate the holiday with our daughters and grandchildren in our new home! Stephanie maintained contact with us in the weeks after our move, to make sure that we had everything we needed and to take care of any issues that might arise. After spending over ten months during the crazy COVID year of 2020, working with Stephanie to find and move into our new home, I can assure you that you could not possibly find a finer, truer, or more dedicated agent than Stephanie Lawrence!!
